Pad Foot and Paws are back

Pad Foot and Paws are back in business

Well sort of!

And doesn’t Humphrey look pleased about it?

We are so happy to announce that after the relaxation of the lockdown on 11th May and guidance issued by the Canine and Feline Sector Group, as of Monday 18th May, Pad Foot and Paws are back in business.

It isn’t quite business as usual, there are certain precautions we have to take and social distancing steps that must be adhered to, but we can walk your dogs and we can’t wait to see them all again.

There remains no evidence that dogs are implicated in the transmission of Coronavirus to people and infection of dogs is unlikely, but that there is some risk of virus being carried by dogs on their fur and on their belongings.

The status of a household is an important element of risk assessment. Contact with an infected or self-isolating household carries a higher risk than with any other, therefore we will be required to ask the status of your household before accepting a booking for any service.

Social Distancing Observed – Bella, Bruce and Lady all keeping 2 m apart

The risk to households of shielding or vulnerable people is greater and therefore requires additional precautions. Because there is some possibility of the dog carrying virus between households it is appropriate to have this information to protect our most vulnerable.

We will ask this information of you on a weekly basis as we are aware that the status of a household may change.

Social distancing rules will be observed following the principals set out by the government published on the 11th May 2020

We appreciate all the support we have received over the past few months and in the coming months. This is a very unsettling time and your messages and photos have kept our spirits up.

Thank you for being there with us through this!
